Creemore Festival of the Arts 2017
Artists on Location
Saturday, Sept. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017
Artists and artisans! Help us bring fall colours right to Creemore’s main street during our annual arts weekend.
The Artists on Location weekend is an opportunity for artists and artisans to display and sell their art in local businesses, studios and galleries throughout the village of Creemore.
Help us develop community-based cultural and historical programs for Creemore.
Results from this survey, together with other information we are gathering, will be presented at Purple Hills Arts & Heritage Society’s Annual General Meeting (Apr 9, 2017), and a synopsis will be posted on the website following the meeting. This survey will remain open for responses.
The Purple Hills Arts & Heritage Society, a registered Ontario charity, has been part of this village’s culture since 1977. Each year, we build on the vision of volunteers before us — people who cared deeply about community and proudly gave their time and energy to cultivate and celebrate arts and heritage activities in Creemore and surrounding area.
It’s a wrap!
The volunteer committee for the 5th annual Creemore Festival of the Arts wishes to thank everyone who supported and enjoyed the exhibits and shows around town last weekend. We hope the work you saw and the people you met made you feel connected to the community and inspired by the creativity that surrounds us.
We couldn’t do it without you – our members, sponsors, volunteers and, of course, the artists and their weekend hosts.
CELEBRATING THE PETUN
(A Tea & History Event)
Our own Pat Raible has published a new book, The Petun: People of the Hills, the result of her deep interest in the people who lived here 400 years ago. You can pick it up at Curiosity House. Join us to celebrate her achievement. Helen Blackburn will share some Petun artifacts from her collection.
