The Annual Spring Fundraising Dinner

An evening among friends, old and new, inspired by springtime in Paris. Help raise funds for arts and heritage activities happening right in our community.

Date: May 12, 2018

Place: Creemore Station on the Green, 10 Caroline St E.

Time: Cocktail hour & music begins at 6 p.m. Dinner served at 7 p.m.

The evening begins with a mixer enlivened by the musical brilliance of local guitarist, David Whipper.

We invite arts exhibitions, installations, performances, displays and more, which will be centred around Creemore’s attractive community halls and handsomely preserved main street.

The Purple Hills Arts & Heritage Society Board has approved the following DRAFT Constitutional By-Law for consideration by the Membership and ultimate adoption at the 2018 Annual General Meeting. This effort has been undertaken by the Purple Hills Board of Directors to streamline and modernize the By-Law for the overall benefit of the Society.

Purple Hills historical materials delivered to Simcoe County Archives

Simcoe County ArchivesToday, we delivered historical materials to Simcoe County Archives and into the capable hands of Matthew Fells, Archivist, and Jenn Huddleston, Archival Technician.

In honour of our 40th year, we have brought together and organized files, records, scrapbooks, photographs, and marketing materials generated by Purple Hills activities since 1977. We wanted everyone to have a chance to look through them so we asked curator Rosemary Donegan to help us mount an exhibit in the Station on the Green.

Purple Hills Arts & Heritage SocietyTo honour our 40th year, we are putting together an exhibit for this year’s Creemore Festival of the Arts. (Mark your calendar! It’s the weekend of Sept 30 & Oct 1, 2017.)

We are seeking Purple Hills memorabilia to share such as:

  • pictures of people and events
  • posters, tickets, newsletters, costumes, decorations, etc.
  • old records, notes, other documents

We are also actively archiving Society records and other materials.
